Hi,

My husband and I are thinking off going to Niagara Falls on chol hamoad. Neither of us has ever been there before, and I was hoping there's someone out there that can give us good hints and tips about how to go about it - where to stay, where to go, etc etc.

Thanks!

Part of it is how much you want to spend.

If you want to do it cheap, I recommend staying in one of the motels on the Canadian side. Though I imagine they are not as cheap as they were since the dollar is so weak now.

I also highly recommend checking out the town Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's really pretty and really fun to walk around the shops there and if you watch plays, they have very good ones.

We stayed on the canadian side at the Embassy Suites. It was amazing . Overlooked the falls, and we had a jaccuzzi in the room. Actually 2 rooms and a microwave and fridge. And breakfast - where we went and took Orange juice and lots of fruit.

The nicest hotel I ever stayed in. A dream 2 nights.

I think dh upgraded us when we got there for a smallish fee. Worth every penny to lie in bed and watch teh lights on the falls.

Yea kitchy but amazing

We stayed there too! (Embassy Suites)
They have a HUGE free breakfast every morning. Many of the little boxed cereals are kosher and you can ask for the bagels in a bag (I think it was 6?). Tell them you need to have them in the package because you are kosher, and it's no problem!

Have fun Smile

Look for deals online. My husband used some sort of site and we had a decent hotel room (in Niagara-on-the-lake) for a fraction of the price if we were to just show up and pay. Even the lady at the front desk was amazed that we found such a good price. The ten minute drive to the falls was worth it.

If you become a club member of the casino (free membership), you can park there for free! I think one of them changed the rules that we had to spend at least a penny or dime, or something like that on the card. So DH "gambled" a dollar. We considered it to be our parking fee. Much better than it would be otherwise.

Have fun!
