Hey,
My husband and I are looking to move to LI and were curious to know if anyone here sends their kids to HANC and if they like it.
Is it hard to get into?

Nope, but I WENT to HANC! What kind of school are you looking for - maybe I can tell you if it's a good fit.

You could try pm'ing madys if she doesn't respond to this thread - she might know something about it. (I don't know for sure if she sends her kids there, but it's a common place to send for West Hempstead people and it says in her "location" that she lives in WH.)

my sister-in-law sends her 3 kids there. She is very happy. I dont think its hard to get into if you live there.

I live in WH - my kids went(go) to HANC's preschool - but I prefer separate schools, so for elementary, my girls are in Shulamith in Woodmere. Still undecided for my son (he's 4)

HANC is a good school - many of my friends send their kids there. It is not hard to get into, and the tuition is comparitive to other yeshivot in the area.

If you have any other questions about the neighborhood or the schools, let me know.

Thanks for all the replies!
I didn't know if HANC was one of those schools where you had to "know someone" to get in. My daughter will be two in October, so I would love to enroll her in some kind of program for next year. I have no idea what the cut off date is for NY. Are the families nice? Is it snobby?

He was only there for elementary school, mama bear! How do you know so much about HANC? Smile It's not snobby. The elementary school is mostly WH kids.

WH is SO not a snobby community - in fact, it is the polar opposite of snobby. It 's a bunch of families all trying to do the best for their kids and struggling to make mortgage payments!! No one tries to keep up with the Jones's, Shabbos isn't a fashion show of the newest most expensive clothes and jewelry. It's very down to earth.
