Both our fridge and our oven have malfunctioned at the same time. I'm debating whether to get a small countertop convection oven, or to go ahead, and change my entire stove, I'd wait till before Pesach to do that.
My counter space is not huge, so I'm not in favor of it, but can't see living without an oven (fleishg) for another two months. But what would I do with the countertop oven once I do get my new stove? and I can't waste the opportunity of having a brand new high-tech stove for at least one Pesach, so that's when I'd switch.
OTOH, if I get a new stove right bf Pesach, we'll save on the installation and removal of the Pesach stove, which costs us $80 every year. (my dh isn't handy at this stuff, although it seems to be relatively basic plumbing).
All this also depends if we can manage to come up with the funds for any of it _________________ Zogt Toras Emes, Toras Chaim, Horaah BaChaim: KER A VELT HEINT!

wow - 2 months w/o an oven ... you certainly need something to cook in ... unless you cook on the stove top ... definately hold off for the main oven till pesach ... _________________ don't wonder why people go crazy ... rather wonder why we don't

why would you waste money on a countertop oven, if you're planning on getting a new stove altogether??
Why don't you go to Sears, or similar, where you can pay small monthly installations on a brand new stove, until you can come up with the cash to pay for the whole thing (as financing will end up costing you more in the long run) If you get something with a self clean oven AND sealed burners, clean-up for Pesach will be a snap, so you'll get to enjoy your new hi-tech oven for Pesach, too!
