I needed peppermint extract for a recipe and someone brought me Mint extract by mistake from America. Anyone know if I can substitute Mint extract for Peppermint extract?

It's fine, I think it is the same, probably labeled differently by different companies. What are you making, mint brownies or ice cream?

I'm making mint brownies. But it's from McCormick and in the past, I've had McCormick peppermint extract

I think you're right- it is interchangeable- I went to McCormick's website and saw that Mint extract is a blend of peppermint and spearmint. I hope it turns out ok

It should be fine, but keep in mind that it might be stronger than peppermint extract. I would put in only half the amount that the recipe calls for, and then taste it before adding the full amount. (I speak from experience. Smile )
