Any ideas on what "Mindy" means? Google searches all say it means "bitter water" - which scared me until I realized they thought it was a nickname for Miriam.
Is it? Or does it mean something else? Dh would like to know...

mindy is a cute name, I like it, we name after people who were chushiv and when we use that name its a zechus for that person and she prays for the people who named after her. I have a few cute mindys in my family

Mindy is a pet form of Mindel, which is a pet form of Mina. Mina is a Yiddish shortening of Wilhelmina, Hermine, or according to some Michal or Miriam...
