I just read an article on the yeshiva world about some attaks in crown hights on friday night, now I understand that the lubaviche rebbe said people should not leave crown hights
bu ti was wondering is crown hights a growing community are there younge couples moving in?

I meant being that its not the safest neighborhood in town ( not that other places are) is it going to die out eventually or is it continuing to grow

We had some awful muggings this past Friday night. Crying or Very sad

We have a huge convention in town this weekend for bochurim, all of the Yeshivos come in.

I hope the bochurim who got beat up are okay. Crying or Very sad

I hope the girls will be safe next week.

Lots of young couples moving in. They go to Kollel in their first year of marriage, many of them, and they move in.

I have 3 couples living there (my kids).

as with any other neighborhood, crown heights has it's share of crime ... but that would NEVER push out the people from the Lubavitch headquarters ...

It would be nice that instead of the Jews having to leave becuase of the crime, the OTHER community would leave. After all, it is this other community that is making the neighborhood bad. It's a shame that the peaceful people are forced to leave while the instigators stay and continue to commit crime Evil or Very Mad

yes, it would be nice for them to move out, but unfortunately, there are some frum instigators that start up quite a few fights, too.

Even though there are ppl. still moving out on shlichus, most young couples stay here in CH. Either bec. they're not interested in moving, or they got stuck here (like me) or bec. they're waiting to find the ideal shlichus.

Still it was a bit shocking seeing that people were attacked in central areas. I shouldn't be surprised though. Even before I moved out "to beirut" I was getting nervous about walking by myself when I lived in a much more desirable location.

Nobody is being "forced" to move. We all make our choices. What needs to happen is the police to actually deal with the crime.
