Has anyone here ever read Pearl Abraham's books The Romance Reader and Giving Up America?
Do you think that the writing in Romance Reader reflects her life? A sort of anonymous biography?

| I read both - loved the 1st, didnt like the 2nd - and yes re it reflecting her life!!!!

| I know her and her family very well. It reflects some of her life, but it is grossly misrepresented and exaggerated. Her parents and siblings are the most wonderful people, which is not portrayed in the story. Her description of the community and most parts of the story are just to make it more interesting.
