There's not much left in connecticut... unfortunately..

New Haven kosher bakery closed last year..
I know there is a kosher chinese, but it's hit and miss good/bad days

There is a kosher deli there also, but not everyone eats there..

I heard that the veggitarian restaurant is closing... sorry I cannot be of much help..

oops- I cannot think of any other bakeries. I am pretty sure you can get chalah at Mr. Broadway. I know for sure you can get chalah at Kosher Delight.
It might be easier to make your way up to the Upper West Side and go to Supersol (93rd and Amsterdam) they have absolutely everything you will need for shabbas.

there is Mendy's on 35th and Park under the OU -there is a deli in the front with take out and the back is a sit down restaurant.

Eden Wok on 35th between park and madison. Also under the OU. This is chinese and sushi. Take out but has a nice area to sit down at.
