Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

so sweet of you all to post your mazel tov wishes.
BH I'm feeling a LOT better than last birth, and the whole birth itself was so much better. Waiting for things to calm down before I spend time on site and fill you all in Smile

I was sooooo certain I was having a boy, right after the baby was born- I wasn't even waiting for them to call out what it was!!! LOL

and there I (and dh) were stressing out on Friday while I was in labor how we'd manage a sholom zochor, plus if we were having a boy- my parents would've wanted to know with enough time to drive in.

at the point when we realized baby would be born before shabbos, I wanted to just call my parents and tell them to get in the car and start coming!!!!!!! My husband spoke to our Rov with some questions, and during the conversation was told if we have a boy close to shabbos- not to worry about a sholom zochor. Just to have a cookie and piece of cake in the hospital. THAT calmed me down a lot not having to worry about it..... AND THEN WE WENT AND HAD A GIRL!!!!!

Oh wow Smile I am touched still getting mazel tov wishes with the baby 7 weeks old.

Firstly- I don't think I ever typed up my story for all of you, however it isn't as exciting as last time. (Last time I was induced/admitted Monday afternoon- only giving birth Wed. morning)

This time.......... I was 11 days late when Friday morning my water broke. I was a really 'neat' sensation having the water non stop trickling down. I was quite nervous as I realized 'this was it' however excited at the same time. My husband dropped our toddler off at the babysitter, as I took a shower, ate a good breakfast---- and basically delayed having to leave for the hospital. I was mentaly delaying- not sure why exactly, but that's what I was doing.

My labor coach got to the hospital before us, and knowing that my water had broken, and that some ppl can give birth quite fast after that point- got quite nervous being that we were not there yet. Then she began hearing ambulances, and imagined my being brought in on stretcher. She ran in to the L&D asking if anyone by the name of Mrs. Queen was being brought in by ambulance... however shortly after, we pulled up by car.

Contractions were strong, but totally manageable. I was checked in at 3 cm. (for me that was good bec. last delivery it took me 16 hours on pitocean to get me to 4 cm). It was about 10am erev shabbos by the time I got put in a labor room.

The hours flew by as I walked through the contractions. As I had last time- I had back labor again which I am told is much worse than 'regular' front-contractions, the only good point, is that if you can find the area on your back and push--- doing counter pressure, it takes the bite of pain off, lessoning the discomfort somewhat. BHHHHHHH we knew where that point was (I called it the "hole" in my back) and with each contraction, my labor coach pushed SOOOO hard with her various balls and tools, which was what got me through.

(to be continued as my toddler just woke up)
