We're looking to buy a good washing machine. We dont have one now (we use the neighbors') I need a big one and one that cleans the clothes good. A lot of my kids clothes are stained from the simplest things! I think I want a front loading one, I heard theyre supposed to wash better than top loaders. also are the really expensive ones really better??????

decisions decisions!

I hear that the whirlpool is great. I had the stackable and the side by side top loader and was happy with both.
I didn't get the front loader-2 expensive. I dont know why if it holds more clothes or just easier to work with.

I have a whirlpool duet. I love it. It uses less water so it saves in that area, but you have to use special detergent which is more expensive. I find it gets my clothes MUCH cleaner than anything I have used before. I used to have to pretreat almost all spots, now I just throw it in the machine and almost everything comes out. It also gets the clothes mostly dry out of the washing machine, so clothes spend less time in the dryer and therefore last longer.

The reason I got this set (it was not cheap) is that my son is allergic to dust and the Duet has an option called sanitary which boils the clothes at a very high temperature and kills dist mites. Since I've starting using this cycle on my son's bedding, I have noticed his symptoms greatly reduced.
