Why would someone that's not in my Contacts show up on my whats app??? Does that mean I'm one of his contacts?

Can anyone help me figure this out? Why would I have someone in my whats app that is not one of my contacts? Does that mean I'm one of his?

Are you connected to Facebook or a similar social media app? Bc it can sometimes download their contact info automatically.
It has nothing to do with whether or not you're in their contact list.

Double check your contacts , or if u only see the number that means that u messaged them or they messaged you

Under settings there is an option to block a contact. I'm not sure if they won't be able to see your status, but it blocks them from messaging you

In settings there's an option privacy and u can set it up that only people in your contacts can see your profile picture
