Do you think it's ok to use canola oil instead of margarine in sweet noodle kugel? And how much should I use- is it half cup oil=1 stick margarine?

I NEVER use margarine when baking. Ever. I always use oil. It always comes out just fine. I put in half the amount of oil that the recipe calls for margarine.

I try as much as possible time sub margarine for oil in baking. Noodle kugel..either version I only use oil. To 1 pk noodles I use ½-¾ cup oil. Good luck!!

Thirding this.
I do use margarine in certain cookie recipes and in the odd cake on occasion, but for the most part I use oil in my baking.
I always make noodle kugel - or any kugel for that matter, with oil.
Yes, one American stick of margarine is a half cup of oil.

I NEVER use margarine for cooking or baking.
There are certain recipes that you can't easily substitute oil for margarine (snowballs and peanut butter cookies, for example), but most of the time it works out fine.
In a noodle kugel I see no reason whatsoever why it would be a problem.
I do equal measurements- 1 cup margarine equals 1 cup oil.
Behatzlacha!

Thanks everyone!
Really appreciated.
I don't know how I'd ever be able to cook for Shabbos without imamother... between the recipes I find on this site, and the many, many questions for cooking/baking advice that I ask on this forum... Thanks a lot!

I usually find that I need less oil than margarine
so 1 c. margarine = 3/4 c. oil
