What is the monthly fee after the 6 months? Amazon is free unless you have prime.

I don't know. I'm assuming that they are offering a 6 months free trial of the equivalent to prime. In either case, if they're offering something for free, I'll take! Why not?

I don't ever remember Amazon having blind pages like that one. If they want me to shop they will have to show me some merchandise without any personal details.

Amazon started as a small bookstore. They slowly built themselves up. It seems like jet wants to start big. They're first putting their name out there and attracting members by offering shares to the top 10 insiders, free lifetime membership to the top 100, and free 5 year to the top 1000. Then when they launch their website they'll already have many members eager to see what they're all about.
They're asking only your email, or your facebook. I was thinking of using a junk email address, but decided they're legit enough to use my real address. Diapers.com was a massive website even before amazon purchased it...

I got this email from Jet. I wonder if the $49.99 membership is like the Prime membership, meaning you can shop without being a member. Or if it's like a Costco membership, meaning you can't shop without being a member. Anyone knows?
If you wanna sign up, I'd really appreciate if you use my link https://jet.com/#/ji/chss7

Thanks everyone for using my link! I unlocked the free 5 year membership. Think I can still unlock the lifetime membership? There's 8 days left! https://jet.com/#/ji/chss7

Marc Lore, the former founder of Diapers.com, is finally saying how Jet intends on beating Amazon.com when it opens up shop next month.
Jet will be part-Amazon and part-Costco, offering reduced prices to those willing to pay $50 a year for access to the marketplace.
Jet.com anticipates selling just about everything that Amazon does — clothes, books, and electronics, baby goods and athletic gear. But unlike Amazon, which is free for anyone to use, customers will be expected to pay a membership fee after a 90-day trial expires. In return, Jet is claiming to offer prices that are 10 to 15 percent lower than anywhere else.
Jet explains that it can offer lower prices because it only plans to make money on membership fees — it does not take a percentage of any of the sales. The company also said savings will come from making the process more transparent to the consumer, and offering more ways to save money. Such options may include combining multiple orders into a single shipment. Customers will save even more if they are willing to pay with a debit card, which collects fewer transaction fees than a credit card. Items that are found locally will also cost less than those that are shipped across the country.
Jet opens for private testing later this month and now offers FREE membership for early signup by using this unique link: https://jet.com/#/ji/chss7
