You can do Ice cream cone cupcakes with a sachet of cherry sours ( jellies) to go with it. You can add a mini chocolate liqueur if you want to.

Ice cream is one type of sweet. Mishloach manos can therefore be any other type of sweet. "Have a sweet Purim."

Purim is for the talented and the rich. If you aren't either one of those, give up trying to make it look classy and cute.

Buy paper cups in a cone shape, available at lots of stores like Target, Walmart, Office Depot. Or use plastic cups with a crisscross design. Fill with a couple of fun pack sized bags of candy bought in bulk. Maybe things that would make good toppings. Use white tissue paper to make the "ice cream". Tape a note to the side.

Cheap, easy, cute.

Someone I know once gave out small containers of ice cream and cones one year. The weather happened to be beautifully warm so it worked out well. But it was a pain, they had to drive around with coolers and could only deliver to people who were home.

There are small ice cream shaped candies http://www.google.com/imgres?I.....5MDk.
There are also bigger ones that you turn the top and candy goo oozes out http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=.....ream.

Why do you say that? Not singling you out, just curious, as I've heard others say this as well. I always think of doing home made because it's nicer and cheaper, but never do it because I don't want to work hard and have people throw it out.

I will only eat something homemade by a good friend whose cleanliness I trust. The friend who I love dearly but who lets her kids stick their grubby fingers into the batter while baking - her stuff gets tossed. And if I don't know someone well enough, I don't know anything about the state of her kitchen and will not eat something homemade from her. Same goes for loose candy that little snot-nosed kids may have helped package.

I am amother that posted the pics. I actually bake semi-professionally and the people I give mishloach monos to look forward to it all year. In fact, even the non-jewish therapists that work with one of my children always ask for a package as well. So while the work may be a little more "patchke'dig" the results are definitely worth it.
