My sister just moved to Cleveland on Sunday. They literally do not know one person there. They moved there because of the Kollel. I spoke to her tonight and she is very sad because she said she has no furniture. I figured I would post this and see if anyone knows of someone, or maybe a gemach? Thank you!

Maybe this?

The second listing is a gemach.

(I just googled "gemach Cleveland".)

Sorry, I'm not in Cleveland, but does the Kollel know that their newest member is living without any furniture? I would think that somebody in the Kollel or associated with it would likely have contacts in the community who could help them out.

She should talk with Mrs. Drazin and Mrs. Appel, both of whom have furniture gemachs. Not going to post numbers here, but she can get them by asking anyone.

I know that Mrs. Drazin is amazing at getting things done to help people.

Are they on Facebook. In addition to Mrs. Drazin and Mrs. Appel, there is a group on FB they can join called "Jewish Cleveland Freebay." Once approved, they can post that they are new to town and what they are in need of. The community is incredibly welcome and giving. (And she is welcome to PM me if I can be of any help.

Great list. I believe that listing for Cleveland Gemach is Mrs. Drazin.

Here's the facebook group that gives away free stuff in Cleveland. But you have to request admission. https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/337142296382349/

Here's the Jewish craigslist for cleveland: https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/652325894812665/

Here's the general page for Jewish Cleveland: https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/ClevelandJewish/

She can post what she needs, esp in the first group when she is admitted and people will give.
