Wooo hooo! Very Happy

I never understood how closing the barn door AFTER the cow gets out fixes anything.

It wasn't meant to; it was political muscle flexing. As in, we can cripple your economy without even lifting a finger, so do remember that you are under our thumb.

Yippee for the good news!

US Air is flying. Delta has not yet resumed flights (at this writing).
Anyone know what's happening with European carriers?

IDK, but I just read this awful news item on arutzsheva:

Quote:
Update from Uvda Airport

Channel 2 News reports the situation in the Negev airport is “simply chaos”.
People in Uvda Airport are fainting and in distress.
There is no air conditioning and not even water.
The check in process “is taking hours”.
There is no logical explanation for this total chaos taking place.

Oy!

At least Senator Cruz called out the FAA and President Obama for it. They of course found it offensive.

I'm not usually one to go in for conspiracy theories, but this made me go "Hmmmmm."

I can't help but wonder how much of the flight ban was for security reasons, and how much was "Hey, we can impose economic sanctions on Israel without looking like we're actually doing it!"

Read this:

It's not a conspiracy theory; it's the way politics work.
