ds is coming back tomorrow after learning for a year in Israel. I invited family over for bbq(hopefully ds won't be too jetlagged and he ok'd the bbq) any ideas for interesting side dishes, already doing the coleslaw, potato salad, raw veggies and grilled onions and vegetables. Looking for something different.

Lucky you!

Maybe a summery lettuce salad, with strawberries or mangoes, pecans, and a raspberry poppy seed dressing?

1 tablespoon canola oil
2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
2 pints cherry tomatoes
2 medium peaches
2 tablespoons sliced toasted almonds
1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves
S & P

Make the dressing with the oil, honey and vinegar. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Slice the peaches into approximately the same size as half a cherry tomato. Combine the rest of the ingredients including the S & P. Pour the dressing on top.

Enjoy. This is currently my favorite salad and a real crowd pleaser.

Squishy, that sounds delicious. Did you make that up yourself? I just want to give you credit in case I repost Smile Have you tried changing it up or do you stick with the given ingredients?
