DD's Kosher Sushi from B.R. Home Ec

She bought:

lg package of sushi rice
two avocadoes
two tremendous carrots
two tremendous cucumbers
package of toasted Nori
one small (frozen) pkg of fake crab meat

She steamed 2 or 3 cups of rice in the steamer - it has directions for microwave or stove top cooking, and while it cooled, she cut her veggies in long strips for easy rolling and unrwapped the Nori. We had already defrosted the fake crab meat.

It took time to assemble and roll but it was very nice for Friday night, sliced, with soy sauce!

It's so much fun to make your own sushi.

I still need to work on my rice.

Yum! I love sushi and have learned to make it, but none in my family does so it's not worth it.

yum, homemade sushi is awesome, my hubby makes very good sushi I find its better then in a store.

I love homemade sushi, but cutting up all those vegetables and so thin, is so time consuming!

also use scallions and sesame seds!
yum!!
I cook only waht needs to be cooked, then I make it before the cholent and serve it shabbos day
we love it, well my kids don't but we do!
