What would you add to a meat and barley stew/soup to serve as a whole dinner?
the more veggies the better...
No mushrooms please!

meat & barely stew ... now it's meat & barley stew with diced carrots, potatoes, 1/2 bag of green split peas, onions, lots of fresh garlic cloves ...
I serve this in single pie shells I use for bowls ... loverly pot pie without all the hassle
