Watches

I am looking for a watch for my mom. I myself have an ESQ for many years (Venture). I never take it off and I wear it everywhere. I don't own a gold or diamond watch so it is with me always. Are there any reasonably priced watches (I guess under $500) that are sturdy and good? Anyone ever buy a Bulova? Any other good names? I don't want gold or anything expensive. I was also wondering how good the designer watches are, like Anne Klein or D & G.

would you go with the company Skagen. ? They have nice watches for normal price.

I had Bulova for a few years and it was a great watch! Now I have a Carvella by Bulova and it's cheap and pretty and I love it.

I have a Bulova for 6 years. I love it. It is very neat and serves my purpose every day, including simchas and shabbos.

My mother bought a skagen and she loves it. My dh bought me a lacoste that I like, the anne klein broke after a few weeks.

Thanks for the info everyone. Macy's has the Bulovas on sale, so I guess I'll check them out. Thanks a lot.

check out the fossil brand too - DH is a jeweler and works some with watches too , he much prefers the movement of the fossil over hte bulovas (he used to sell bulovas) - recently we bought eachother fossil watches

How about a Tissot? It is a great Swiss watch, and they have some very pretty ones...
