I think I posted this once a long time ago on a different thread. Once when dd was about 3 and in a stage where everything had to be exactly one way, I overheard her having a tantrum with dh that the banana he had given her had broken off and was no longer attached to the peel. He was trying to reason with her ("look, it's the same exact banana" or "but it tastes the same whether it is in the peel or not"). Of course she was not convinced by any of this and was sobbing about her broken banana that she no longer wanted. Next thing I know, it's quiet for a minute or two. Then dd comes out of the kitchen, satisfied, holding her scotch taped banana.

When my DS turned 1, DH bought him as a present a book called HUG, with a toy monkey attached. There were like 3 words in the whole book. It was sooooo dumb!
Of course, this became DS's favorite book ever, and I read it to him three million times (obviously having to add a lot more description). Smug does not begin to describe my DH. and he brings it up every once in a while to prove that he was right.

The point is not that men are funny, clever, witty or smart its that they THINK THEY ARE SO CLVER AND THEY BECOME SO SMUG WHEN THEY REALIZE YOU ADMIT IT!!!!!

one time when my daughter was about 3, I forgot to put out clothing for her before I left to school. I met my husband for lunch and she was wearing a dress with jeans under it. The dress was a little short so he thought it was a shirt!
Another time, when my first child was a newborn, DH was going on a "fathers walk" with his friend and his newborn. I told him not to forget to take his cell. He said: "but how will I be able to answer it if im pushing the stroller? I cant push the carriage and talk on the phone at the same time" Thank gd we're way past that now!

We were having guests for brunch and I asked DH to pick up ziti. He said they didn't have so I told him to get any shape, "like the usual spirals I get" (rotini).
He said he saw them but they were MUCH smaller than they normally are.
I told him they get bigger after you boil the, He tried convincing me that I wouldn't want them, they're just too small. I told him to get it anyway and I wont be upset if it's the wrong thing.
Imagine his surprise after I boiled it. Very Happy
