Today I saw frum women riding bicycles on Governor's Island wearing pencil skirts.
(Pencil skirts ride way up when you are riding a bicycle.)
Or maybe that was their intention?

thats just what they decided to wear. I mean the whole world is stupid in my not so humble opinion.
I saw my friends ignore their newly married sister even though she needed them. that was stupid.
I saw my nephew eat an ices upside down so most of it dripped out. that is stupid too.
I went to bed too late last night that is also stupid!

Were they wearing leggings, at least?
Seriously, sometimes I think the more tzniut thing to do in such an instance is just wear sweatpants. Really. No one needs to see your undies while you are out bikeriding, frum or not.

I saw the same thing on Governers Island. I wear a skirt and leggings underneath when I bikeride.

I did too. And now I suffer the consequences.
I saw 2 Stop signs installed right in the middle of the one way street. DOT probably got lots of calls about them and they were taken down after couple of weeks.

I would have no objection of they had worn pants or leggings. I am not trying to by nasty. I know people who wear pants when they go skiing, so had they worn leggings or pants I would not call it stupid.

I went to Governers Island last summer. I think frum ladies who wear pencil skirts are not so used to biking so they didn't realize the effect when they got dressed in the a.m. I went with a chasidush woman from BP. She had no idea how a skirt rides up when biking since she was never allowed to ride a bike as a girl.

there are bikes with lower bars, so they are good to use if you have a wide enough skirt and dont need leggings with that.
btw, what is the idea of wearing a bralike thingy over a top?

A mother letting her barely turned 2 year old play on the sidewalk which was just inches from my car. When I beeped and beeped until she came out of the house (the 5 year old was babysitting   ) she told me not to worry, the two year old knows not to go into the street. Oh yes, her Little Tikes car was about to fall over the curb but she wouldn't have got into the street to pull it back up right?

Are we only talking about tznius? If not, I got a few, but let me see what I can actually remember.
People coming out of a store onto a busy street, look right and then walk left . LOOK BOTH WAYS!!!!
Okay, this is not really stupid, but a bit scary IMO. Two little boys, jewish, but that's not the point, about 5 and 8 years old walking home by themselves in a big city (Buenos Aires) and crossing a major street. They were very careful while crossing and the street is one way, but it's not only the cars, you never know who's lurking out there. They were tiny.
I'm sure there's more, but I haven't been out lately because my kids are home because they have two weeks off for winter vacation. Oh, yeah, that's another stupid thing...two weeks. Why so long? There's nothing to do  .

yea.... ive done that once. (not a pencil skirt but a fairly straight one) when I was at mil for the weekend and I went biking which is a "no no" by her so I couldn't dress in a wide skirt. I didn't want any questions. "we were just going out". but I did use leggings and the bike I rented was w/a low bar... not first choice but....
as for the woman on governors island, you never know... they could have scheduled for one thing and then changed their plans after they had left the house. their wide skirts were all in the hamper. or they didn't own one! lol.

a friend cover her nice rosy tanned cheeks w/makeup and then put on blush.
Eating ice cream from a cone w/a spoon.
dressing up for a wedding, doing my makeup and lipstick and AFTERWARDS remember to brush my teeth. no wonder I go thru a lipstick in no time.

 this reminds me of my dear mother (love you mummy!) who is so bad with directions that one time we were in Israel, went to a friends apartment and when we left we had to head back the way we came! Dear mummy just continued walking the opposite direction!
I do this with one way streets ALL THE TIME!!! I am so used to having to look both ways all the time while crossing the street because I still get confused which way the cars are coming from. When I cross a one way, I always look right, left, right, left, cross and then realize I only had to look right! LOL

The most stupid thing I see everyday are these stupid muni meters here in brookyn. Every time I park its always a half a block from the box I need to shlep there put money in wait for ticket go back to car put it on dashboard then remember where it is I was going in the first place.
Sounds like I'm just spoiled but it gets annoying few times a day.
Once I came out of a store the cop was starting to scan my car for summons I showed her I had the ticket but it was too low she did not see it. STUPID
