I have been by myself for shabbos a few times when dh had to be away. I loved it. I stocked up on food and reading material and it was great! I had offers to be with people, but I preferred the ME time, no one to match my schedule with, bliss.
If I had the option of doing it again at a hotel ( might there be some swimming on friday too?) I would love it!

how about taking your eldest daughter with you if you can? or a female friend?
I think it's a nice idea but I would personally feel uncomfortable sitting by myself at meal time, but I'm a very self conscious person!
