| |
We are making aliyah next month iyh and I am looking into getting a new double stroller, mine pushes terribly in the US and will have a very hard time in Israel. Can any Israel mommies recommend what works for them? Was looking into Bumbleride, Mountain Buggy, and BOB....
Thanks!

selling a mountain buggy double with bassinet if you are interested I would recommend air filled tires if you are going to be walking. if you wont be, and will be using buses just get the city mini, even though I hate it. I hope you will be buying it before you get here. its cheaper that way.
I had an easywalker duo and loved it, and now have the single. I sold the double. but I dont think they sell it anymore in the US, only older models.
people seem to like the phil and teds but the wheels go flat all the time and and I hate the kid in the basket look.
the mountain buggy has the duet, which is very narrow. seems cramped, but what do I know and the regular one is pretty decent, with some good new features.
the baby jogger is tremendously bulky, and imho junky.
and the bumbleride is also massive, like the valcos.
hope this helps

I don't have any specific double strollers to recommend, but I do advise getting something not too wide, as store aisles here are more narrow than in the US.
Also, if you are moving into an older apartment building, you may not be able to fit a double stroller into the elevator.

I have a Mountain Buggy Duet. Looooove it! I am small and can literally zip it around with one hand. Also, our elevator is smaller than standard and although according to all my pre-purchase measurements it shouldn't fit, it does with no acrobatics.
Two caveats: the seats are narrower than some (not all) other doubles and the bassinet is really narrow; and they are completely sold out in the entire country and are on back-order for at least 2 months, so if you will need it right away, bring it with you.
I tried the Bumbleride first and it sure was beautiful but it's much bulkier and I felt it in the push.
B'hatzlacha and have a yishuv tov!
ETA: I also tried the City Mini double and didn't like the push or the wobbling of the seat back when the baby is reclined. Way too much brain shake.
