תפלה קצרה
לומר לפני שפותחין את המחשב (לשמור את זה ליד המחשב):
רִיבּוֹנוֹ שֶל עוֹלָם, כְּשֶׁאָנוּ מְכִינִים לָשֶׁבֶת עַל הַמְחַשְׁבִים שֶׁלָנוּ וְכַּווָנָתֵינוּ לְהִתְחַבֵּר בָּהֶם וּלְהִתְעַסֵק בָּהֶם לְצוֹרֶך: פַּרְנָסָה, מְחַקֵר, לִימוּד תּוֹרָה, קְנִיוֹת, חֶסֶד, אוֹ כָּל שִׁימוּשׁ אַחֵר שֶׁנַעְשָׂה בְּאֶמְצָעוּת רֶשֶׁת הָאִינְטְרְנֶט, אָנוּ מְבַקְשִׁים מִמְךָ: אָנָא! עַזוֹר לָנוּ, הָגֵן עַל נִשְׁמוֹתֵינוּ, שְׁמוֹר עַל עֵינֵינוּ אָזְנֵינוּ וְלִבֵּינוּ הַיְקָרוֹת מִכָּל תְּמוּנוֹת וּמַרְאוֹת וְדִיבּוּרִים רָעִים הַפּוֹגְמִים וּמְקַלְקְלִים אֶת קְדוּשָׁתֵנוּ וַעַלוּלִים לְהַפְרִיעַ אֶת מְנוּחַת נַפְשֵׁנוּ. יְהִי רָצוֹן מִלְפָנֶיךָ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ וֵאלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵינוּ, שֶׁתּוֹלִיכֵנוּ לְשָלוֹם וְתַדְרִיכֵנוּ לְשָׁלוֹם, וַעַזוֹר לָנוּ לְהַגִיעַ לִיְעַדִים שֶׁיָבִיאוּ לָנוּ רַק חַיִים, שִׂמְחָה, וְשָׁלוֹם, וְתַצִּילֵנוּ מִכַּף כָּל אוֹיֵב וְאוֹרֵב, תַּאְוַת נִיאוּף, נִיבוּל פֶּה, לָשׁוֹן הָרָע רְכִילוּת וּמַחְלוֹקֶת, מִינוּת וּכְּפִירָה, וּמִכָּל מִינֵי פּוּרְעָנִיּוֹת שֶׁיֶשׁ בְּהָאִינְטְרְנֶט, וְתוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ שֶׁלֹא לְבַזְבֵז אֶת הַזְמַן הַיָקָר לְהֶבֶל וְלָרִיק, וְתִשְׁלַח בְּרָכָה וְהַצְלָחָה בְּכָל מַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ, וְתִתְּנֵנוּ לְחֵן וּלְחֶסֶד וּלְרַחְמִים בְּעֵינֶיךָ וּבְעֵינֵי כָּל רוֹאֵינוּ וְתִשְׁמַע קוֹל תַּחֲנוּנֵינוּ. כִּי אֵל שׁוֹמֵעַ תְּפִלָּה וְתַחֲנוּן אָתָּה: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ שׁוֹמֵעַ תְּפִלָּה.

תפלה מפורט
לומר בכל בוקר (אחר ברכת התורה או אחר תפילת שחרית):

Short Prayer
To say before opening the computer (keep this handy next to your computer):
Master of the universe, as we sit down to our computers with the purpose of connecting and using it for livelihood, research, torah learning, shopping, chesed or any other use of the internet, we ask You to help us, protect our precious souls, guard our eyes, ears and minds from all sorts of bad images and language that undermine and spoil our holiness and may interfere with our peace of mind. May it be Your will, Eternal One, our God and the God of our ancestors, that You lead us all to peace, guide us toward peace, and help us reach only destinations that will bring us life, gladness, and peace, and may You rescue us from the hand of every foe, ambush, adulterous lust, obscene talk, gossip and divisiveness, heresy and apostasy, and from all manner of punishments that are out there on the internet, and help us so that we do not waste precious time on futility and emptiness, may You send us a blessing and success in all our every handiwork, and grant us peace, kindness, and mercy in your eyes and in the eyes of all who see us. may You hear the sound of our supplication, because You are the God who hears prayer and supplications. Blessed are You who hears prayer.

Detailed Prayer
To say every morning (preferably after Birchas haTorah or after Shacharis):
Master of the universe! You have created the universe of antiquity, and from generation to generation do You influence wisdom for your creatures, that they should invent with their minds through counsel and intelligence to invent wonders and to perfect more and more the wonders of technology to help through that all of your creatures. Master of the universe! You have made known to us through your servant that "G-d made one opposite the other" and the forces of impurity and the Other Side are doing everything in their power to exploit the wondrous invention of technology and through that to spoil the wonderful creation that you have created and to spoil the goal and purpose of these wonderful tools. Therefore we come down with our supplications before You, that every time we make use of the wonderful tools like cellular phones and personal computer that are connected to the world-wide internet wonderful insult of mobile cell phones and personal computers, connected via the Internet with the purpose of connecting and using it for livelihood, research, torah learning, shopping, chesed or any other use of the internet, we ask You to help us, protect our precious souls, guard our eyes, ears and minds from all sorts of bad images and language that undermine and spoil our holiness and may interfere with our peace of mind. Hakol biydei shamamyim, chutz miyirat shamayim - someone should be taking the necessary precautions that they don't encounter all those things and/or use the internet only as guided by their rav.

Well in any event I give them props for coming up with such a wonderful tefilla. I particularly like: " using it for livelihood, research, torah learning, shopping, chesed or any other use of the internet".

So my understanding of this tefilla is that this means shopping is considered as important as Torah learning, livelihood and perhaps more important than chesed?

Some people use the internet for shopping for things that they really need, like medical equipment etc. Or if you live very oot and can't find tznius clothes in local stores in the summer. I know of such situations.
A tefilla is somwthing that comes from the heart. It doesn't have to be "blessed by the Rabbi" or anything to become a tefilla. Some people just have a hard time expressing themselves or connecting to Hashem so they need something tangible.

Actually if you Google תפילת האינטרנט you'll see a version of some kind of prayer has been around for at least 10 years.

I can understand why daven for these things.

what I cannot understand is how anyone in this age of internet can compose a new tefilla with Hashem's name.

call me naive or whatever, but that is stopping me from forwarding this ''---'' call it whatever you wish. shame, I wouldve like to show it to my husband, but I would need a source for this.
