My kids are making me so stressed out! help!

I have 6 children B"H! my older four are ages 8-13. they literally fight and argue all the time with me or eachother. im am literally going out of my mind. I know I am a big part of the issue cuz I have a hard time disciplining. I never know what to do for a consequence. can someone please give me SPECIFIC suggestions. usually if my kid is name calling etc or being physical, I send them to their room. when I let them out they continue. how many times can I send them to their room? they dont listen to anything I say. they are also extremely messy. how can I make them have more responsibility for their stuff? im sick if it all and I just want a calmer home cuz I tend to just lose my cool and yell at them. thanks!

Take away privileges. No bike riding for the next hour, if you need something more drastic, no bike riding today. I don't know what your kids like to do, but it can be no computer, video games, wii, etc...

They are old enough to understand. Sit them down and explain that the behavior is unacceptable and from now on things are changing. Tell them what behavior is expected, which behaviors are not acceptable, and what some consequences will be. You can even involve them in the discussion.

Main thing is to be consistent and follow through. Do so calmly without getting all worked up and yelling etc. Don't give them a reaction. Just calmly follow through on your plan.

That's really weird, because my children are always perfect.
Fighting is a big no no in my home. They love their siblings and would give away anything in the world for them.
they constantly speak nice things to their siblings, always compliment and help each other.

Something must be very wrong in your house. Children should behave a lot better than that. Don't most children?

They can always come take lessons from my home, where everything is perfect, always calm and happy, we're all so sweet to one another, and it's just so simple and easy!
