Anyone here want the allergies section to be closed, so that only people with allergies can read it, especially in light of recent posts where people are judged, etc... for situations that only people with allergies can fully understand?

This gets brought up every so often, you realize, and nothing comes from it?

I do think that recent posts have had unfortunate responses.

But if you close the whole forum, you'll miss the chance to connect to people who don't know about allergies to read first-hand complaints and aggravations and would do something to correct their behavior.

A: I wouldn't mind if the forum was closed, but don't care especially either way.

Looks like I misses some posts - and something tells me it's a good thing, too!

Why not convert it to a safe haven?

Why can't all of imamother be a safe haven besides for , say, controversial topics?

I don't see any reason why it should be private or a safe haven. I am the mother of an allergic child.

Same here. I actually think it's better to be an open forum to educate people what our children struggle with every day so they can be a little more careful.
