I'm thinking of getting this doughnut maker to use on Chanukah, but $30 for something I'll use 8 days out of the year? Not sure. Has anyone tried these...if so, how do you like it? TIA

I wouldn't buy it. It only makes 5 at a time and they are baked not fried, so you may as well just buy a donut pan for baking. It only takes a few minutes in the oven too. Or you could just do traditional fried donuts.

Or if you want it, it's $20 at bedbath and with a 20% off coupon, $16.

For the past several years, there have been donut makers usually listed at $40.00 selling for $10.00 on black friday.

Great tips, thank you! I know it doesn't make real-tasting doughnuts, but real doughnuts are so oily they hurt dh's stomach, so thought this might be better. Will have to look into a.) a doughnut pan instead, and b.) some of the better prices mentioned. Thanks again!

I have a donut pan that I used for simchas a few times. You can even use a cake mix.

If you have the donut baker/maker... why only make them on Chanukah?
