We are making a bbq next week and I am looking for interesting Menu Idea's.
Obviously I am going to serve
Hot dogs, Hamburgers and shnitzel, baked potato's
What else can I serve to make it fun.

chicken or beef kebabs - on sticks with vegetables.
you can also do burgers on sticks.

in addition to the above- coleslaw, potato salad
I would slice veggies- tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions if s/o wants on their burgers
also sauteed onions are good on burgers
kebabs- beef, chicken, steaks, veg. skewers etc

All the above suggestions,
corn on the cob - precook, then insert a skewer and grill for a few mins!
Marshmallows - they get all gooey and soft.

corn on the cob- yum! living in Israel I totally forgot that that even exists!

I add to the above salads, tomato salad, macaroni with tuna salad, cucumber salad, israeli salad, mock crab salad.
I also serve an oven baked bean casserole and deviled eggs at bbqs.
Kabobs are well received.
I like watermelon to finish.

Fresh pineapple slices. sprinkled with brown sugar and then grilled for a few minutes on each side.

I know that they sell it here but they don't sell a bug free one and we don't eat corn on the cob off the cob here- only if we first cut the corn off- and that kills all the fun of corn on the cob

Nish Nash salad (found recipe on this site)
Potato salad
Grill potatoes wash well cut in half n frill on both sides do this first when grill is still very hot.
Agree with the pineapple that's yum. U can do peach halves too.
Have fresh cold fruit soup n lemonaid.

All the above are great suggestions. Add club/bueget bread to make sandwiches. Make spreads for the sandwiches, such as garlic mayo, spicy mayo, mayo & mustard, mustard & honey etc
A great drink for the table - lemonade add mint leaves a bit of fresh ginger & slices of lemon YUMM
