First time @ Machne Gila, refusing to go

Help!
My almost 14 y/o daughter has been accepted as a mother's helper in Machne Gila for 2nd half and is now digging in her heels and refusing to go. Honestly, she doesn't know anyone who is going, so I think she is just nervous about confronting the unknown alone. Anyone have a 7th grader going for 2nd half that we could arrange a meetup so my daughter will at least have a familiar face to look for? Or an experienced Gila girl who could call her and tell her what a fabulous time she'll have?

Could she spend a shabbos there? Maybe together with a friend, even one who isn't in the camp? Just a thought.

I can't really help with a recent recommendation, but my sister went there for a year in 6th grade (nearly 10 years ago! Can't believe it was that long ago...) and LOVED it.

She had a cassette tape of their production and listened to it over and over and over again.
