| |
My sister is getting married in a few weeks and I need something to wear.
I am after a baby and I've got huge hips and a big "tire" stomach. My chest is small and so are my legs and hands-so I basically look mis-shapen. Any ideas for styles that would work to make me look "ok" (I've given up on great
Thanks
PS For some reason I think a 2 peice would work best, especially for nursing, but I am open to anything.

2 pieces definitely work best. Usually the shape is better than a straightish gown, and for nursing it's helpful as well.
A-line bottoms are helpful, get details by hems, cuffs, collars, and not mid section...wide belt may work to hide the stomach, but depends.
Any specific color you need/like?
Alex Evenings makes a lot of things that can be worn as 2 pieces, like this:

| Thanks I am looking through that. I guess I 2 peice like that would be good. I don't like that specific outfit. But I will keep looking> I was thinking of a baby doll look- sort of flowing from under the chest, but I am not sure.

Right, I just did a google search quickly...I don't have time to browse online stores. Other people are good at that
I'm not sure I've seen 2 piece outfits that have the babydoll look?

| Also, if you're ok with shells under sleeveless dresses, it can be easy to nurse in if the front is a loose cut, like drape neck or a criss cross type...

I've had 2 family weddings within 5 weeks after giving birth.
I wore a chiffon jumper gown that was high waisted. the jumper part made it easy to nurse (just unzipper and slide off shoulder, the shell kept me covered) and the chiffon was comfortable and gave me a pretty flowy feeling - so I at least felt good, even if I didn't look great.
I'd go to stores like Macys or Lord & Taylor and browse their racks. they typically have a huge selection.
