She passed on the 20 June. She was such a historical figure of Yekke Judaism... (see my post "first kallah teacher").

She was the wife of chief rabbi Max (Meir Shimon) Warschawski and the mother of Michel, Judith, Daniel, Evelyne, Annie, Elisabeth and Pierre.

Pierre is Joel? (her son... that's what her youngest goes by)? They are very good friends of our family.
(Which reminds me, I really need to go pay a shiva call.)
I had no idea that she was such a figure. I have been to her home multiple times and she was always so open and so caring.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were such a part of her life until the very end. They will continue in her footsteps.
