Bolero shrug under a t-shirt?

Anyone have this? Does it stay smooth under a shirt? Is it comfortable to wear?

One of my teen dd's is always warm/hot, and I'd love to find something good for her to wear under a t-shirt. Sleevies never stay put and always seem to end up showing a bit of skin at the top.

I don't know about a bolero, but have you tried cropped shells? I just discovered them and I'm loving them. Much cooler.

Sorry the link's taking too long to open so not sure if this is what I have. But I have shrugs I wear under my button downs all the time if the elbows are iffy. They definitely stay in place but you need some sleeve with the shirt.

reportrmom: that's our next step, the cropped shell, but this is even less material, so I'm hoping she'll be cooler....

I went to cheap stores bought long sleeve white or colored tee's or used stained tee's and attached the sleeves to t-shirts I wanted to make into long sleeves.. You don't have to know how to sew it's very easy you just turn the t-shirt inside out and sew the long sleeve into the top of the seam of the short sleeve tee shirts...

Finding cheap t-shirts is the harder part. I got I think in walmart or target but now since summer is already here they may not have any in stock.

My daughters wear these. they are great - but you have to make sure the tshirt isnt low cut.

I personally love the cropped kiki rikis - they are so much lighter than wearing a full kikiriki shell under another shirt. I didnt invest in any boleros for myself - as most of my shirts are lower cut - so I need something to cover the neckline.

just be aware - both types of shirts shrink - and especially the whites - you dont want them to be see thru.

I wash and then hang the shirts and boleros dry
