I love a few names that come to mind but DH wants a name that would be more 'accepted' within more Boro Park circles as well because our families are from there and if they'd be running after their grand daughter "Emunah" it would just be weird for them.
I'm still pulled to the name, due to the meaning but figured I'd try here first to see if there are other suggestions with names that have similar meaning to Emunah & Bitachon.
Or something that means "Hashem has shown his presence"
These meanings have a lot to do with how I got pregnant and through the pregnancy.
Thanks for your help!

| Brocha? I mean, it's not trust, but towards faith? I mean, accepting what is.

| Eliana & Hodaya both "go" more than Emunah and while they don't have the same meaning, they both express thanks to Hashem.

I've heard this name, but never knew what it meant -- what's the translation/etymology?
(I never would have assumed it was Ladino because the girls I knew who had this name were totally Ashkenazi.)
ETA: I've heard pronounced both PEE-ah and PYE-ah _________________ I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I realized it can also be a Ashkenazi pronounciation of Puah! lol
In Ladino, it means pious. Pee-ah.

| My middle name begins with gimmel and ends with hey, and its pasuk is (I'm not going to transliterate it out) "Turn your path to Hashem and trust in Him, and He will act." I've always found it very meaningful. Maybe you could choose a name like Gila, or another name with a pasuk with a similar theme.

I happen to think your husband's 'concerns' are unfounded... but then again, I'm a firm believer in naming your children names that speak to YOU (and hubby) and if relatives have difficulty pronouncing it or may not like it, that's their problem.
Tikvah means hope... _________________

Gila can mean "He revealed" (His presence). _________________ "Often the things you worry about don't happen but other stuff does."
