| |
I need some help.
a friend asked me to bake a cheesecake for her daughter's bas mitzvah.
I do not want to send the base from my springform pan to the hall lest it get lost
to all you bakers out there: when you bake a cake how do you send it over to person who bought it?
also, how do you remove it from the pan? is there a large, thin, cake sized spatula thingy to lift it up w/ in one shot?
is there such a thing as a disposable springform pan? or is there some sort of disposable pan that I can use and remove the side?
also, I've seen on store bought cheesecakes they put some sort of plastic interlocking thing around the cheesecake to help it keep its shape. anyone know what I"m talking about? I don't think I need that but if I do let me know
thanks!!!

| Why dont you use a piece of parchment paper cut to the size of the bottom of your springform pan?

I thought of that but how do I then lift it?
I thought of leaving excess tabs sticking up and then using the taps to pull the parchment paper off of the base and unto a piece of cardboard.
can I find precut pieces of cardboard or should I just cut a box?

What about those paper brown-and-gold disposable round pans? Do you know what I'm talking about? They come in muffin size or 9" round. They're pretty and should work well for cheesecake. _________________ Smile there, aint you glad your living:)

Maybe you can find a disposable round platter the right size.
