We're gonna be in Florida for the summer at my in laws, and they will be watching the kids for a few nights so dh and I can get away.

I know NOTHING about Miami, I've never been there- looking for a nice relaxing place to stay with a view of the water, near kosher restaurants and near fun things to do.

Any recommendations?

(anon cuz I'm wary about posting publicly that I'll be away from home Smile )

How much are you looking to spend? Do you want a hotel or a condo?

WE just stayed at the Eden Roc hotel. It was really nice, we got an ocean view room with a balcony. The balcony had some lounge chairs so we sat out at night when it was cooler. Also, the balcony had glass walls and we could see the gorgeous ocean from our beds! There are 4 pretty pools, with lounge chairs and furniture around, it was really nice. They are on 45th and Collins which is right in the hub of the kosher scene. 41st street has many kosher restaurants and shops so it's really close by. There's a small store there named Shakolad - I never saw a nice chocolate store. They have gourmet Gelato, different kinds of chocolate drinks and of course a HUGE assortment of hand-made truffles that are HEAVEN! Sorry for rambling. If you want things to do other than eat and relax at the beach and pool, you can go to the Seaquarium and Jungle Island. Also South Beach - which is a little more south on Collins Ave, has a lot of interesting stuff I hear.

We got a Florida Jewish Directory in a kosher grocery store and there are lots of kosher restaurants listed there. Enjoy!

Dh and I would like to go to FL as well, I've asked around the trump palace was recommended beautiful place 5 star hotel by the beach right next to kosher restaurants too. Not sure about entertainment I did hear that Miami doesn't have much to offer (was told Orlando has much more) if anyone knows more I'd love to hear as well!

The trump palace is in sunny isles, not Miami beach. It is near a plaza with a couple of kosher restaurants (lul and prime sushi, both good) but you will have more options on Miami beach. If you care.
