OP,
have you decided what to do?
I believe from what I learned. According to the laws of lashon Harah you are not allowed to believe it as a truth but you are supposed to do what is necessary to protect the parties involved in this case your son.
I wouldn't in a million years allow my child to learn with this man. Yes he was involved with girls but necessity is the mother of invention. Perhaps he prefers girls but will make do with your son.
I really hope you weigh your options very seriously!!
