I've finally convinced my parents to go on vacation together, after years of harassment Laughing

Would anyone brainstorm with me as to how/what/where:
-they live in Parisian area
-dad can't take plane
-not more than a big week end, like three or four days
-no shabbes in it, too complicated hotel and food wise
-ideally with a kosher restaurant or eatery in driving distance
-dad wouldn't go on the beach
-mom gets migraines from heat
-mom likes to take pics
-dad can't walk too much
-no mountain!

Laughing Laughing

They live in Europe. Shouldn't there be all sorts of interesting places just short train rides away? Smile

London?
You can go by Eurorail, I think it's about 2 1/2 hours.
Easy to find kosher food.
Plenty to do.
No beach!

How about it? We're always getting brochures for nice cruises through France. The only disadvantage is no kosher food, but for 3-4 days you can take your own along.

So I asked mom!
Dad is sick in boat (and she may be too) and Belgium they know by heart, they used to go every month and my mom grew up there.
Thanks ladies! I'm also still looking!

London is a great idea. What about Amsterdam? there are a couple of kosher restaurants there. Stick to Northern europe for a less hot climate.

Another vote for London. Fits all your parents criteria.
Other cities I can think of are Amsterdam and Vienna. Both fits the criteria as well.
I believe there is an overnight train between Paris and Vienna.

The only bit you may want to check is how much walking your Dad can do--all cities above do require some walking, though you can cover most attraction in London on "hop on, hop off" bus. None of the cities above are suitable for driving, I must say.

Or somewhere domestic, Strassbourg? Aix-le-Bains also has kosher amenities.

Or also Aix-en-Provence? Closer than Venice/Prague, and no language barriers.
