4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
1 egg, lightly beaten
1⁄2 cup flour
3 tablespoons oil
1⁄4 cup soy sauce
1⁄4 cup maple syrup
1⁄4 cup ketchup
INSTRUCTIONS
Place chicken in a large bowl or seal-able plastic bag. Pour egg over chicken and toss to coat. Drain excess egg.
Place flour in a shallow bowl or plate. Coat chicken with flour.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. When oil is hot, add chicken. Saute, stirring constantly, just until chicken is no longer pink inside, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup and ketchup. Pour over chicken and mix well.

I got the most unbelieveable, never fail recipe for sweet & sour chinese style sauce from a friend this Tishrei. I put it on shnitzel nuggets which are on a bed of rice. My non-frum guests said it tastes better than the real thing & where did I buy it. It's soooo simple & uses regular ingreds
1 cup vinegar
1 1/2 cup sugar
8 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp garlic powder
Heat it up on the fire until it thickens a bit. You can stir.
Serve when you're ready. Either as a dipping sauce or pour on top of your shnitzel/chicken/rice. Enjoy! _________________ Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
