I made it tonight, divided it in 2 10 inch rounds... it came out delicouse looking...

1-I added some more sugar and a little vanilla sugar to the cheese batter-the batter needed it
2-I didn't taste it yet but regular cheescake is supposed to be baked till the center is still a bit jiggly and then you close the flame and leave it in there, this insures that it stays creamy. I hope even though you said to bake till golden it will be creamy....
3-I baked the brownies for 10 minutes before adding the cheese layer, I then baked it for another 30 minutes because the cheese was golden already

I followed BNM's advice & after an hour, turned off the oven & left the cake in there for 1 hour. It was delicious. next time though, I think I may bake the brownie for 10-15 min because the brownie in the middle of the pan was a little hard to serve. the cheesecake part though was perfect.

As for the ingredients, I didn't alter those at all.

Delicious! Thanks OP for posting.

I put two recipes together for this past shabbos and the result was decadent and very very easy to make (and it freezes very well)

Make your favorite brownie reicpe. I do

3/4 c. oil
3/4 c cocoa
1 1/4 c flour
2 1/2 c sugar
5 eggs

mix together well and pour into a lined 9x13 pan.

part two:

mix together
3 eggs
2 toffuti cream cheese (make sure it is plain)
1 c. sugar.

pour carefully on top of brownies.

bake at 350 for an hour to an hour and a quarter (top of cheese cake should be slightly golden). The bottom brownie layer stays very moist, almost gooey and served on a bed of blended up berries it is delicious and pretty.

Enjoy!

Can everything be done by hand, or should the cheesy part be done with mixer?

I would keep them in the fridge if it is only 48 hours. Anything longer I would probably freeze them.

I just made these for Shabbos. I made 1/2 in a 8 X 8 and 1/2 as cupcakes. My kids ate all the cupcakes when they came home from school. They are really delicious.

For the cupcakes I followed the recipe exactly and they were perfect. For the cake I prebaked for 10 min. and than kept it in the oven with it off afterward. We'll see how the cake is tonight.

thanks for the recipe Thumbs Up

Is there a way to prebake the brownies a little so that the brownies are not that gooey?

that's what I do when I use brownies as a bottom of cheesecake ... of course the amount of time depends on the size of the pan - I think 15 - 20 minutes is good ... but for me it's because once the cheese mixture is on top it seems like the bottom stays too raw
