Can anyone recommend a co-sleeper that works really well for a nursing mom, and could fit in a twin size bed?
I don't have any experience with co-sleepers, so if it doesn't exist you can let me know, too. Smile I've read a little about the Arm's Reach one, but at $150, its out of my price range.
I had something like this in mind (only maybe a thinner one, if I could find it):
The First Years Close and Secure Sleeper:

but if you have any other suggestions I'd love to hear them, and if anyone has used it with a newborn for nursing, please let me know how your experience with it was.
Thanks for your advice!

The one you linked to will take up almost half your bed! I was never comfortable co sleeping in a twin bed, I didn't sleep well and woke up very cramped and sore. I really recommend getting an arms reach or something else that won't take up bed space.

Check Craigslist and consignment stores for used arm's reach ones - or if there's a yahoo group or something in your community, post there. You'll save a lot of money that way.

I second the suggestion to find an Arm's Reach cosleeper on craigslist. They're fantastic, and people post them for really decent prices all the time.

Also, I don't remember the details, but I think I remember reading that the kind you linked to isn't really safe, it's just extra junk for the baby to sleep with which is never a great idea. I do think there are versions of the Arm's Reach kind that are cheaper, maybe by different brands.
