Please explain this to me or give me tips!!!!!
How do you get out of the house with 2 little babies???? we don't have a car, I live in a small 3rd floor walkup apt in Brooklyn and I am losing my mind!!!!!
My kids are 14 months apart, neither or them are walking and I'm finding this impossible. How do I manage a double stroller, holding 2 kids, all the steps, and shopping or errands?
My baby baby is 2 months old and I feel like hitting the roof!

Moms of twins, how did you get out? (mind you no local stores can fit the double, and I can't see how to do public transport either) If you have 2 babies at home or did. How did you stay sane????
I'm kind of doubting if its possible!!!!

amother because I am embarassed that I can't manage!

go up and down in shifts. have one kid in the crib, bring one down strap in the stroller and then get the other one.
wear a sling up and down the stairs, hold the other.

re public transportation I use a single and wear my baby.b'h I lived near an elevator so I used to go to places that had an elevator at the other end. like 42st 34st and the atlantic mall

I also had a smaller double. like the phil and ted.

This was me 2 months ago but with fewer steps! (now child#1 sometimes climbs up/down herself depending on mood.)
It's overwhelming, and I also struggle(d) feeling that everybody else manages it... but I think that everybody else has a hard time also.

Can you leave your stroller downstairs so it's one thing less to carry?
I used to always bundle both kids & myself into hats & coats carry down child#1, strap into stroller, run upstairs, bring baby down and go. I felt safe doing that in my area, depending on your situation, it may not be feasible. On the way up, I reversed, bringing baby up first and putting down somewhere safe and then bringing older child.
Now, my baby holds his head better, so I generally carry both down the steps together, one in each hand. It's heavy, but easier then the up and down. I don't think I would have managed it two months ago though.

It's a constant juggle, but I find that it's worth it to get out and break up the day - it can be easier than staying in! I try to do errands by foot, walking from one store to another, rather then driving, which means getting 2 kids in and out of the car to the stroller, back to the car...
What stroller do you have? Most stores should fit a standard double, though it can be tight. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help maneuvering. And set your standards lower - do deliveries rather then shlepping out yourself whenever possible, get help if you can, lower standards. Remember that you are dealing with two babies, and that's a full time job by itself!

Wear the baby, carry the toddler. Can you store the stroller downstairs?
