Dermatologist in Lakewood that takes Jersey Care-please help

I'm the one who just posted about my dd with warts all over her face. I don't want it to leave scars, so I want to make sure I'm doing what I should.

Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist in Lakewood who takes Jersey Care?

call Dr. Shanik's office and press the option for the referral desk. They will tell you where to go with your insurance.

The drs in lakewood recommend dr. geffner. I was not happy with them.

My dd, had warts on her face and at the end of the day they fell off and did not leave a scar. If they are near the eyes, you can go to an eye doc also.

I'm not sure if he takes it, but it's worth finding out, Dr. Tarlow. He is the BEST out there! After many years of having "specialists" not know what condition I had, Dr. Tarlow knew the moment I presented it to him. He is very thorough, and a genuinely nice person.

Dr. Tarlow is great, but he does not take jersey care and I'm not sure if he does pediatrics.

OP here. Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm taking my daughter to Shanik's office Wednesday and will ask who they recommend. If they recommend Dr. Geffner I will press them to recommend someone else Wink

I am bumping this because I wanted to know if anyone has any other suggestions for an adult FEMALE dermatologist near lakewood that accepts americhoice because I have a sort of embarassing lady problem that I would rather not show a frum man!!!!

Amother who wants to see a female dermatologist, I've been happy with the one in Dr Kuflik's office. Very nice and professional, and they have two females...I saw one and DD saw the other, we were both happy.

I've been very happy with Dr. Tarlow himself...but I have not been happy with others in his office, and for warts you would not likely get Dr. Tarlow. My DD had warts and they did not get rid of them there (after a whole bunch of costly "treatments" that did absolutely zilch and had costly copays that added up to a ton). I ended up taking her to Kuflik and the treatment they did was effective, in one session. However I can't make a personal recommendation because it was not on her face, it was on her hands.

Just wanted to point out - Dr. Shanik's office does not recommend Geffner as first option. They told me that if I need a Jersey Care dermatologist, they are the only ones within reasonable distance; but they do prefer other doctors. I don't remember who they recommended (Dr. Tarlow was one) because I did take DD to Geffner. She had a simple problem and I knew exactly which treatment I wanted. I basically just needed them to prescribe it.
