Where to get contact info for the author of a book I read?

I am currently reading a book published in 2003 by Hamodia Publishing, and distributed by Feldheim. I contacted Feldheim via The Internet to get contact info for the author. They said they didn't have it, and I should contact Hamodia Publishing. I cannot find a website address for Hamodia Publishing. Can anyone tell me how to go about contacting the author of a book...basically to tell him how much I enjoyed a specific story in his book and to ask for permission to reprint it for family members to read? TIA for any help you can give me on this.

Maybe the author has a website. I'd Google the name and see what comes up.

Hamodia publishing means this story has run in the Hamodia. So you can just contact Hamodia.

then again, if you name the author, chances are one of us has her contact info.

What's the author's name? sometimes it's books that are translated too. You can call Hamodia 718-853-9094 and ask about it

The book was published in 2003, so it's quite old. It's called "There is no such thing as coincidence...and other stories of Divine Providence," by Baruch Lev. It had an amazing LONG story on kibud av v'em, I'd like to pass on to both my siblings as well as all of my children. I e-mailed Feldheim and they responded that they have no info about the author, they only distributed the book which was originally published by Hamodia Publishing. I don't know if this is the same Hamodia that now publishes the daily/weekly newspaper. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Yes it's the same Hamodia except that I think this book is possibly a translation. But yes I know which story u mean and it was incredible!!! The stories were submitted by readers and he compiled them.

Thanks, Ilovelife, and Merelyme, I just e-mailed Hamodia at the address you gave and hope it directs me to the author. I've never done this before, but I was truly touched by the story.

It's one of those things that was really important to me earlier, but the longer I wait, I'll probably skip the whole idea and not send the letter. I am a writer too, and I know how much it means to me when I get positive feedback on an article I've published. So, please, everyone, give me a chance to do a mitzva and make someone else's day a little bit happier Smile
