| |
| I don't have a scale at home because I will obsess way too much about my weight, but whenever I go to someone else's house I always use the scale in their bathroom. As I am doing it I feel really guilty, but when I think about it there is really nothing wrong with it- what do you think? Is it appropriate or not?

| Anybody who keeps a scale in a bathroom that guests would use should expect that it might be used by guests. I don't think there's anything wrong with you using it.

If it's sitting out, then yes.
If it's over something or under something and you have to riffle through your friend's stuff and move things, then no. _________________ See my ad to buy pregnancy tests and ovulation tests in Israel for a great price. http://imamother.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=136877&highlight=pregnancy+tests

| If its out in the open sure! If you have to search for it then its a little creepy.

I agree with everyone else. Don't go getting it out of a cupboard but if it is already out, no problem.
My scale is propped up against the wall in the bathroom and I wouldn't care if someone else used it. I'd never know anyway!

| Its probably not so important but with some scales you see the age and the weight of the person who was on it before. but its more with fancy scales that show you all kind of things and you have to insert information first.

If its out on the floor then to step on, look and step off is not a problem.
BUt as others said if you have to move things around to look/find it then its a bit weird.
I also don't have scales at home but if I go to my parents, friend or cousin then I step up on their scales. _________________

| I agree but want to add that I'd slip off my shoes. I wouldn't want to make someone else's scale dirty with my street shoes.

Wouldn't you take off your shoes anyway? By me, I take off anything that would add extra weight I want to be as light as possible!

Definitely with shoes off.
I have a scale in our bathroom. We have a separate guest bathroom, but there could be a situation where someone went into out bathroom. No snooping if that happens, please! We keep things out all over. And I totally wouldn't mind someone stepping on the scale as long as they take off their shoes first.
