When I went to Abigael's it was on Sunday, so the place was freezing, no heat since the offices upstairs were closed. Also, they had some construction workers drilling on top our heads on the floor above so we left with a huge headache. On top of that, the food was nothing major.

OP, you might want to try T-Fusion in Flatbush. They have an upstairs as well, for when they get crowded.

Another vote for Mike's Bistro in the city. One of our favorites!
solo is very good as well.

Didn't like food in abigails, forgot about solo also delicious food.

I'd say Jerusalem Pizza in Manhattan.
Yeah it's not a fancy-tip-the-waiters type of place, but the second floor has a lot of privacy, especially if the two of you just want some talking alone time.

I also like Cafe Napoli in Brooklyn - I think it's avenue M and Coney Island Ave.
Sunflower Cafe on Kings Highway (Brooklyn) is also a good choice.

thank you so much ladies for your reply. I was gonna go to abigails but they didnt have reservations for when we wanted. we ended up staying local. ( had a nice time!)
