I am creative, artistic, good with the computer and was thinking I might be a good fit for Graphic design and perhaps web design.

I have a masters in another field (not related) and I am not interested in going back to school full time.

Does anyone know of any programs that just focus on these two areas? I know a friend of mine once took a course maybe 3-4 months but it was in lakewood about 5 years ago. I'm looking in Brooklyn.

Any advice welcome.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I did contact them today actually Smile

Does anyone know of anyone or ever hear of someone who does private one on one instruction?
Would such a thing work? Be a good idea or bad idea? The timing of design alive won't work for me and I'm not sure about bold edge. Both have classes in the summer and fall and I was hoping to start sooner. Like now Smile

Maybe contact the people you were interested in taking a course by and ask if any of their instructors are available for one-on-one instruction!

Does anyone know anything about Bold Edge vs Design Alive?

I know someone mentioned she did Design Alive and was happy but bold edge actually has live classes in Brooklyn and I think that would be easier perhaps than doing it online. It's also cheaper to do it in person than online.

Ok any advice welcome!

There are really two fields, web development (programming) and web design (graphics) with some programming knowlege too.

You may find someone who works in the field, esp a single girl, who would be interested in training you privately, which is very productive, because you also work at your own pace.

You can open a thread here for that, or try other frum websites - luach.com, and I just saw yesterday another frum website (resources for frum people) on yeshivaworld.com in you scroll down to earlier topics.
