My son sleeps in a portable crib due to the size of our apartment.
Until now he has been sleeping on the 1" foam mattress it came with. Lately he hasnt been sleeping as well, but if I were to lie him on my bed he falls asleep very fast... so I think that a better mattress may make a difference.
On amazon I found 2 mattresses that are 3" for a portacrib.

Does anyone have any knowledge about foam vs spring mattresses? Pros vs Cons of each (or either) type?
