| We never eat leftover cholent, hence rarely make it, and now it is killing me to throw it out. Someone mentioned turning cholent into a soup. Whaaaa? How can I do this?

I never heard of doing that after the fact...there are people that make a very soupy cholent and serve the soupy part on Fri. night.
I think making a soup out of it once it's already leftovers would still taste like leftovers...
I also hate leftover cholent so I just try to be very careful to make a SMALL cholent so that there won't be any leftovers.

Yes I do it all the time. Just call it beef barley soup with beans.
It really depends on how thick the cholent is, but I add about 1.5x the amount of water to cholent. You may want to break down meat and potato into smaller pieces. It's more for heating up as everything is already cooked fully. You'll need a bit more seasoning because you're adding more liquid. I usually add a bit of onion soup mix powder, but maybe tomato puree would do. You can also add sliced sausages or franks. If you like you can substitute 1/4cup of water with red or white wine. Option to scatter some chopped parsley or corriander (cilantro leaves) right before serving. It's quite nice and hearty for winter meals.
