I don't have a crock pot for Pesach (or for the rest of the year actually  )
does anyone know how I would make this yapchik thing in a pot? usually when I make cholent in a pot, I simmer it on the stove for a few hours and then put it on the plata. but this sounds like it doesn't have enough liquid to do that...should I just put it straight on the plata?

| You can bake it in the oven (covered) and then transfer it to the plata
|
